How to Enter
Enter online at www.aippawards.com and follow the prompts by 5.00pm (EST) Thursday 10th August 2017.
Upload a copy of your images during the online process. These images MUST be to these specifications: 8-bit, 3000 pixels on the longest side, 300ppi, Adobe RGB (not greyscale or sRGB) saved as JPEG setting 12. The files must be named the same as your state, (overseas photographers please use the letters ‘OS’), the year, your surname, followed by your first name initial. Your uploaded image filenames should be letters, numbers and hyphens and underscores only. YOU MUST use the following naming format “StateYear-LastNameFirstInitial-Number.jpg”, e.g. “QLD2017-SmithJ-1.jpg”.
Print out a copy of the print identification labels and address labels. Place print identification label on the back of your mount in the top left hand corner. This determines how your print will be oriented to the judges.
Print and mount your images (as per instructions). The visible image (the image itself) must be a minimum of 26 cm on its longest side (one side of the image has to be at least 26cms). It can be larger, of course, up to the 50x40cm mount size. The only exception is where the technology (e.g. Polaroid Transfer) dictates the size, in which case the image must be presented at full size.
Send images in an official AIPP Print case (available from the AIPP Website http://store.aipp.com.au) to AIPP APPA Awards, PSC (PHOTOGRAPHIC STUDIES COLLEGE), 65 City Road, Southbank VIC 3006.
