How to Enter
Enter online at www.aippawards.com follow the prompts. Entries close at 5pm on Thursday 25th July.
Upload a copy of each entry with the following specifications:
- 3000 pixels on the longest side;
- Adobe RGB colour space (not greyscale orsRGB);
- Saved as JPEG, setting 9;
- File named using the following format: State2019_LastNameFirstInitial_Number.jpg”, e.g. “QLD2019_SmithJ_1.jpg”.
Overseas photographers please use the letters ‘OS’. Image filenames should be letters, numbers and underscores only.
Complete the online entry process, being sure you have entered the correct category, that you have provided caption details if required, and that you have declared the people or services you have engaged to assist in the preparation of your print entries.
When the online entry has been completed and paid, print a copy of the supplied print identification labels and address labels. Place print identification label on the back of your mount in the top left hand corner. This determines how your print will be oriented to the judges
Print and mount your images in accordance with the Image Presentation Requirements. The size of the image as seen by the judges must be a minimum of 25 cm on its longest side. If your matte covers the edge of the print, you will need to make the print slightly larger to meet this requirement. Prints can be larger, up to the 50x40cm mount size.
Your printed entries MUST be accompanied by your original capture files of all photographic components of an image as proof of compliance with the rules and terms & conditions of entry. These files should be RAW files, or JPEG/TIFF files created in-camera at the time of capture.
Order all of your files in a folder on your computer.
Name the files/folders according to your unique AIPP ID and entry numbers.
Once created the parent folder MUST be compressed to submit via the Dropboxlink. Right click on the folder to find the option to compress.
Ensure that the zip folder is named appropriately before clicking on the link which will prompt you to upload to Dropbox:
Please note: You will not see other entrant’s submissions within the file request link, so please be assured that your files are secure.
Send mounted prints in an official AIPP print case, these can be ordered by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 1300 685 334. Print cases must be received by 5.00pm on Thursday 1st August 2019.
